About Redwood Artworks
As an art student I majored in Sculpture, large figures made out of railways sleepers - a wholly impractical pastime in a confined space and difficult for most get into a house, or garden and enjoy - so turned back to painting.
I worked hard to capture the natural world around me, both from my life in Cornwall and Herefordshire. I gather my inspiration from personal experiences, the environment, as well as other cultures around the country.
I start by creating for myself, but inevitably as I work, the artworks develop a life of their own, creating an array of styles and outcomes. Usually there is something for everyone. I am always amazed what customers love, each decision so individual. Of course, I have my favourites, as do my family - all differing from one another. Take a look at the paintings which gives you a better idea of the scope of my work.
